Vision With much prayer and fasting, and the vision to reach the people of Bangladesh with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, Rev. Asish Bowl founded the Gospel for Bangladesh in March, 1992. The vision of the ministry has been received through the Bible verse, "Woe to me if I do not preach the Good News. If I do this willingly, I have my reward; but if I am compelled to do so, it is an office with which I am entrusted." It all began with just a few believers and prayer partners in Dhaka City. With the growth of the ministry, a committee has been formed to run the ministry. Now, the Gospel for Bangladesh is a registered Trust and the ministry is running by a Board of Trustees. The People's Republic of Bangladesh is a multi-religious nation with four major religious groups, Muslim (90%), Hindu (9%), Buddhist (0.9%), and Christian (0.03%). There are over 70,000 villages in Bangladesh, many of which have not yet received the message of Good News and Salvation. From in inception, the Gospel for Bangladesh has been actively involved in Christian ministry within the church and outside. Mission Statement Gospel for Bangladesh exists to present the claims of Christ through words and deeds, in order to plant fellowships among every unreached people groups in Bangladesh. Gospel for Bangladesh is an evangelical organization by nature and has a partnership with National Fellowship of India and Global Fellowship in the USA. Some individual donors are also partners of Gospel for Bangladesh. |
