The Rodgers Family has been on mission since 2010, when they packed up their young family and moved to East Africa. From there, they served in South Africa and then in the US, working with refugees. They have been church planting in rural Hawai'i for the last few years and have enjoyed partnering with the local church to reach their neighbors.
In 2023, while on vacation in Spain, the Lord showed the Rodgers how their experience in Hawai'i and their passion for working with refugees could intersect. Spain has seen a 159.3% increase in displaced people since 2021, the majority of whom come from North Africa. This has left the Spanish people, and especially Spanish churches, struggling with how best to help. The Rodgers hope to come alongside those far from home to show them they have a home in Christ. They are also looking forward to encouraging and equipping local believers to engage these people with the love of Jesus.
The Rodgers' story is one of consistent and clear commitment to the Gospel, supported by the trust and partnership of believers around the world. And while this might not be their first rodeo, they know firsthand the power and importance of prayer and support. Your partnership is more vital than ever. It takes the entire body of Christ to reach the nations, and the Rodgers are excited to work together with you reaching the lost in Andalucia, Spain.
